Dorchester Illustration of the Day no. 1898

Last evening Charlie O’Hara, long-time resident of Dorchester, gave a talk about some of his memories to the Ashmont Hill Assocation.

Some of the questions from the audience were about the appearance of Peabody Square in the first half of the 20th century. Charlie mentioned that the Ashmont Spa was located at the vee where Dorchester Avenue and Talbot Avenue meet at an oblique angle, so today’s photo shows that point of land in 1923.
